Our San Diego Invisalign dentists will:
- NExamine your mouth and take digital x-rays to ensure that Invisalign is the absolute best treatment for your particular situation.
- NTake impressions of your teeth and create a custom-made aligner tray.
You’ll:
- NGet started right away wearing your clear aligners, using them for at least 22 hours a day.
- NCome back to our office and we’ll provide new trays every 1-3 weeks, depending on your needs.
Treatment takes around 12-18 months to complete, though you’ll see results much quicker!

While some teenagers are good candidates for Invisalign aligners, many children find it difficult to wear them the required 22 hours a day. In most cases, we will recommend traditional braces for young adults and teens.
How long does Invisalign take?
While the exact length will be different for every patient, most patients can expect treatment to last 12-18 months. You’ll see a noticeable difference in your teeth within a couple of months.
Can I remove my Invisalign braces?
While you do need to wear your Invisalign braces, they are a completely removable treatment. We recommend most people remove them only for cleaning, eating, and very special occasions.
